St Benedicts Street Remediation Project

St Benedict’s Street started off as a cladding replacement due to Storm damage causing the roof to flood.

The projects initial scope involved a replacement of the external cladding and any other areas affected by the water inflow.

The projects scope then evolved, as when removing of the water affected wall linings and framing it was discovered that the wiring was non-compliant. This resulted in many variations to contract which due to the nature of the work resulted in the majority of these based on dayworks.

Catalyst Consulting limited undertook the design engineering work, with the physical works being tendered competitively.

Body Corporate engaged Cuesko to provide complete QS services, including cost estimation for the insurance work and the upgrade to make building code compliant, procurement, tender evaluation/negotiation, post contract quantity surveying along with cost management services.
