Puhinui Interchange

Puhinui Station was upgraded by Auckland Transport to become a major bus and train interchange, improving travel to and from the airport, and its surrounding areas.

Cuesko were engaged by Auckland Transport to undertake the following cost estimates during the design phase:

• Concept Design Cost Estimate
• Peer review of Aurecon’s Preliminary Design Cost Estimate
• Developed Design Cost Estimate
• Detailed Design Cost Estimate

Monte-carlo simulation was performed using the priced risk registers and @Risk software. This determined the 50th Percentile (P50) and 95th Percentile (P95) values for Project Contingency and Funding Risk budgets.

The cost estimation process included making allowances for Kiwirail compliance costs including permits, rail protection, isolations and block of line (BOL) closures, Rail Protectors and/or Electrical Safety Observers (ESO).
