Oakridge Villas - Stage 6

Oakridge Stage 6 Retirement Village is a greenfield extension of the existing development in Kerikeri.

The project comprised a separate contract for the civil/infrastructure which included a major diversion of the existing main town storm water system. A separate contract followed after commencement of the civil works for a 36 villas development including landscaping. The construction of the Villas was carried out in conjunction with the civil contactor. This involved clear communication and co-ordination between the two separate contacts.

Cuesko’s role on the project was to provide cost estimates, coat management and post contract administration.

All 36 Villas have now been handed over to Metlifecare

The challenges on the project included:
• Significant bulk excavation.
• Overland flow path.
• Staging to allow occupancy of completed villas.
• Co-ordination of the Separate Contractors on a congested site.
