K-Road Cycleway

Auckland Council has appointed Cuesko to review the initial budgets and compile the developed design estimate for the upgrade of the busy K-Road, including several intersections.

The works involved various stages of pavement upgrading and re-alignment to accommodate the new cycleways as well as services relocation, introducing and upgrading of rain-gardens and drainage, side-walk upgrades and landscaping while retaining traffic flow throughout.

As it is a busy bus route, extensive works to accommodate bus requirements were also included.

Cuesko were responsible for liaising with the several stakeholders and reviewing / sign-off of both estimates as well as the aggressive VE exercise that followed to align the project budget.
