PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Power Centre (PC) 12 is part of the Air Cargo Buildings complex, re-developed into a car parking complex.

The project involves replacing the PC12 Reyrolle switchgear. Similarly, removing and replacing existing transformers PC12A and PC12B by a single 200 kVA unit mounted in a general location of transformer 12B within the existing transformer room.

The project also involves installing a new 200 kVA standby power generator set outside the Low Voltage room to provide a standby supply to the LV board and a temporary CE2 and High Voltage cabling to facilitate switchgear upgrades while maintaining continuity of supply.

Beca undertook design engineering. The physical works are competitively tendered.

Auckland Airport engaged Cuesko to provide complete QS services, including concept and detailed design cost estimation, procurement, tender evaluation/negotiation, post-contract quantity surveying and cost management.
