The Pacific Towers project was initiated to determine the best way forward- either to repair or rebuild and to give certainty in ongoing discussions with the insurer and the body corporate.
The 22-storey building was built in 2010. The mixed-use structure is occupied by Rendezvous Hotel from levels 1 to 15, with levels 16 to 19 being serviced apartments. Levels 20 to 22 are a penthouse and executive office area and level 23 is a plant room.
With parking levels use car stackers to maximize efficiencies.
Cuesko’s roles were to provide cost advice on the repair and rebuild options.
Buildability was complex on both the rebuild options and the repair options. Cranage was of particular concern due to large lifts over neighbouring properties and tramways.
