Already, this year, we have had three highly experienced Senior Quantity Surveyors join Cuesko in new roles. Below is an insight into the background of our new faces, which may also highlight areas of service that might be beneficial to your business.
Having gained a depth of experience throughout the Pacific Region, Mark has worked in the construction industry in New Zealand, Australia and Fiji for the past 29 years. The majority of Mark’s experience lies within the oil and health sectors and he recently joins us after completing a $365m expansion project (Te Mahi Hou) at Refining NZ as their Cost Engineer. Mark is able to consistently deliver a wide range of services, including post contract work and cost control.
With over a decade of experience in both South Africa and New Zealand, it is since arriving in New Zealand in 2011 that Johan has been involved within the education sector. Johan worked closely with the Ministry of Education to successfully plan and execute the delivery of new classrooms to schools across the North Island. Johan can be relied upon for his expert advice in cost planning, contract negotiations and contract planning.
Taylor’s 10 years of experience in the construction industry is primarily gained from his time in South Africa. In 2009 he worked on some significant projects including the refurbishment of the Waterkloof Airforce base and the new runway at Mthatha Airport. Taylor is looking forward to expanding on his experience in New Zealand and brings sound quantity surveying experience from the wide-range of projects he has undertaken.
And the Award Goes To…..
We are happy to announce that Jonathan Cutfield, one of our junior team members, received an award as the top Quantity Surveying student in his year at Unitec. This award recognised his consistent academic achievements over the course of the year and was sponsored by Marley. Jonathan is now undertaking his final year of study and is working hard to maintain or exceed this level of achievement in 2016.
